LUMA BICYCLE ANTI-THEFT GUARANTEE

Conditions of guarantee

1.) How to activate guarantee

Once the terms and conditions of the guarantee are accepted, a form must be completed and sent in order to activate anti-theft guarantee. Make sure to keep all lock and bicycle receipts, as well as any paperwork sent from LUMA, in a safe place. These will be required in case of theft.

2.) Details of guarantee

The guarantee offered with LUMA high-security products comes at no additional cost to the client. It is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. In order to become valid, the guarantee must be activated as mentioned above.

3.) Insurance details

The following steps should be taken in case of bicycle theft:

1.) File a stolen property report within 72 hours
2.) Notify LUMA of the theft by certified mail within 7 days
3.) Send the following to LUMA, by certified mail, within 90 days:

a) Copy of lock receipt
b) Copy of bicycle receipt (for bicyles less than one year old)
c) Broken lock (required as proof of incident) for analysis purposes
d) Minimum of one key
e) Copy of stolen property report
f) Copy of insurance company theft notification (in the event that the bicycle was insured)

4.) Insurance coverage

In the event that all conditions are met, LUMA pledges to contribute towards the purchase of a new bicycle. This amount will be equivalent to 75% of the value of the stolen bike up to a maximum of 600 € (400€ for the 92S).

In order to receive this sum, applicants must contact LUMA (directly through their LUMA distributor) before buying a new bicycle, which must be of equal or greater value than that of the stolen bicycle. LUMA will then provide the bicycle shop (which must be an official LUMA distributor) with the corresponding amount.

5.) Exclusions

Only individuals may benefit from this guarantee, excluding companies, institutions, associations or any other legal entity.

-Theft of a different bicycle or one owned by someone not named on the insurance claim.
-Theft which occurred before insurance activation date.
-Theft of motorised vehicles.
-Theft due to certified LUMA locks damaged by knife grinders, sharpeners or blow torches of any kind.
-Theft of accessories.
-Bicycle theft is understood as fracturing or breakage of an anti-theft device to warrant coverage. The existence of anti-theft devices on a bicycle will be considered a unique incident.
-Any thefts in which fracturing or breakage of the anti-theft system under warranty did not occur will be excluded.

By sending this document of activation, it is assumed that the sender has read and accepted the conditions hereby included.
